What are:
Good features (pros)
Bad Features (Cons)
For each of these three operating systems:
*Mac
*Windows
*linuxWhat are the pros and cons of these operating systems?
Mac (We have one family 2007 iMac)
Pros
-Very clean interface
-Easy to use
Cons
-Expensive
-Large gaming / program incompatibility
-No hardware customization.
-Other OSs have what MAC offers + more.
--
Linux (I've tried using various versions. Not too much experience with them)
Pros
-Highly programmable
Cons
-Gaming / program incompatibility
-(some) Hardware (driver) incompatibility (e.g AMD GPU drivers)
-Hard to use (?)
--
PC (I own several Windows Gaming PCs + use them on a regular basis)
Pros
-Lots of program / gaming compatibility
-Easy to customize
-No hardware limitation (like Linux + Mac)
Cons
-If you don't know what you're doing, it could be hard to navigate / easy to break.
EDIT: @Dorule - What kind of Linux do you use? I'm a bit interested and I might as well give it a try. What are the pros and cons of these operating systems?
EDIT:
@zaoutsosarthuratyahoocom
You are totally wrong dude, just give me your IP address and I guarantee to infect your "impossible to infect" Windows machine in 5 minutes or less.
Don't think you have a clue of what you're saying here, seriously........

For the asker (Christina) and the rest of the world:
Linux is the best operating system ever. Period.
Linux is very flexible and highly user configurable, safe (no virus will ever infect a Linux machine unless the user is a complete idiot, thus no need for any antivirus or anti anything to eat up your resources while running in the background), very fast and reliable (in 2 years of use my Linux never crashed and never froze up on me), has the smallest footprint (5 to 6GB of disk space with all the software and apps you'll ever need installed, just over 3GB out of the box), it's 100% free (both the OS and all software for it).
Linux will run quite a few Windows apps and games via Wine and Play On Linux, heck it will run the whole damn Windows in Virtual machine.
Besides Linux is the only OS made by the people for the people, and not by a greedy corporation like the other 2...
LINUX ROCKS!
Mac would be second as an OS, but Apple charges outrages prices for their machines and builds the system around their branded hardware (not the best, by any standards), making hardware upgrades almost impossible unless you pay them another pile of money. Apple is greed at it's worst. Even for most of the good apps you gotta pay small lumps of money. They sell less in terms of volume, but make lots more than Windows per sale.
A Mac system can be infected, and will crash and fail (the spinning wheel of death), granted not as much as Windows.
basically what Mac did is they got a free Unix (Linux like) kernel and build a proprietary OS based on it, made to only run on their branded hardware.
There are ways to install Mac OS X on any Intel PC (it's called a Hackintosh). Apple claims it's illegal even when you buy the legit version Mac OS X install DVD or USB from Apple, but that's up for debate. Basically as long as you do it for your own use and you do not sell such machine there's nothing Apple can do about it.
On most Hackintosh machines you get better performance than on genuine Mac machines, just because you would use better hardware than they do. I tried it, just to know I can do it, but didn't like Mac OS X all that much. Linux is much better all in all.
Which brings us to the last, Windows. It's the worst operating system, resource hungry, easy to infect and corrupt.
Microsoft continues to shove it down peoples throats, just like they did for the last 18+ years, by making deals with computer manufacturers to build computer systems with Windows factory installed.
Witless, uneducated consumers fall for the Windows poison and pay the price more than once.
Heck, I did for over 12 years, but no more!!!
See here a snapshot of my beautiful, highly customized Linux desktop, with lots of 3D effects and other eye candy:
