How do I access my Windows Documents and Settings folder in Linux?

Windows crashed on me and will not reboot and the restore options do nothing (big surprise). I used my Ubuntu Live CD and I want to access my Windows Documents and Settings folder so I can back up my documents but when I go to the folder in Linux theres nothing there... but there is.... What am I supposed to do?How do I access my Windows Documents and Settings folder in Linux?
If you can see the folder in Linux, and you can double click to get into it, what you see is what's there. Try downloading PhotoRec and see if it can recover anything. (Even if the directories are garbage - PhotoRec looks at the disk itself. If something looks like a file it recognizes the format of, it'll recover it.) It's at http://www.cgsecurity.org/wiki/TestDisk_鈥?/a> and it's free (and perfectly safe). How do I access my Windows Documents and Settings folder in Linux?

You can't access and see the windows files because linux can't read them, linux can't read the hard drive, you need to go to a ubuntu forum and get the steps on how to read a NTFS system, Because I forgot the steps
