Hi, so i am kind of a noob at tech stuff, and I need some help with Linux. So I just downloaded it, and everything fine except for that it cant recognize any Wi-Fi connections, so I don't have any internet access on it. If you have any ideas for what I could do, that would be great.
ThanksLinux??????????????????
You are probably missing the drivers for your card...
This may be because the drivers do not exist...use NDISWrapper to use Windows drivers . This used to be quite a complicated process...but these days is easier with a however although ndiswrapperis builtin to your ubuntu, the GUI might need to be downloaded...oh oh no internet connection ;-)
Or that the drivers are "restricted"...enable Restricted hardware. Look for "Hardware Drivers" in your menu, or using Dash if you have Unity. This will detect the wifi, and load the appropriate drivers from your CD for you if they are on the CD, otherwise sadly again you will need an internet connection.
Try using an Ethernet cable; or try using NDISwrapper through the command line...the second option will turn you into a Linux geek

LUg.Linux??????????????????
What kind of Linux? Ubuntu? If so, have you clicked on the wireless icon in the upper-right part of the screen?
Edit: Yep, what Mike said.
Chances are that it's having issues with the driver for your wireless card. Can you connect with an Ethernet cable? If you can do that, connect through a hard link and update all of your drivers.Linux??????????????????
